Hello and welcome to Cam Bridge Camping
We are Hector and Maggie - we live in this beautiful 2-acre haven, within a stone’s throw of Bath & Bristol.
We recently moved into our new home, with our first year venturing into the world of running a small scale camp site, we have chosen to work with the Greener Camping club.
Having previously worked in hospitality for the last 20+ years, I am used to looking after guests, customers and visitors, so now we will be adding campers to that list!
We have kept our site small and intimate, with a maximum of 10 pitches, including up to 5 campervans. The site is made up of a small woodland and meadow, with hot showers, a communal bbq and seating area. As we grow, we will be adding more to our offering, so please feel free to have a chat to let us know about the good (or the bad!) stuff. A suggestion box will be also available for your feedback and ideas.
Like many people, a change in direction and lifestyle followed the pandemic and we have moved towards a more sustainable, ecologically driven way of living. It has always been a dream to run a site built around ecology and nature, so making it a reality is hugely exciting.
The camp site is part of a bigger picture of a forestry, firewood and tree surgery business, along with a Christmas Tree Farm, due to open this Winter – lots of plans are coming to fruition!
As we are starting off, we offer a basic but beautiful place to come and relax, spend time with friends and family to escape the city, and still within a short distance to interesting and diverse places that the South West has to offer.
For those of you who join the club and stay with us here, we're looking forward to planting your trees and seeing them grow. As a forester who plants many trees each year, the need to continue to give back to nature is imperative, so I love the Greener Camping ethos in that respect.
We live in our little barn on site year-round and are developing and restoring the land. We're committed to improving the environment and making a personal difference to the world around us and we look forward to you joining us as we begin our journey…
